Happy Birthday to Sawyer! He's 2!

I made Sawyer a train cake for his birthday, because he loves trains. He was really excited when he saw it, and it was very difficult to keep him from eating the cookie wheels right away. He blew out his candles very well, and we kept relighting them to try and get a good picture. It sure seemed crazy to spend so long on the cake, and then eat it after we had only looked at it for an hour or so!

Sawyer helping Michael cook bratwurst on the grill for everyone. He can flip them, and pick them up with the tongs when they are done and put them on the plate. I think he has lots of grilling ahead of him!

Liz and Sawyer playing with his new tools. We had a really nice party, thanks to all of our brothers, sisters, and cousins who came. It was crowded in our little house but we loved visiting with everyone, and we feel lucky to live close to family this year, and to be able to celebrate Sawyer's birthday with them.
